Hall of Fame shall be named the SOUTHERN ILLINOIS GOLF ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME.
Submissions for the Hall of Fame must be made with the nominee’s complete playing record and/or golf background or documentation regarding the nominee’s superior administrative skills or long-term interest and support of the betterment of the SIGA. Nominations may be made by any other SIGA member that is acceptable to the Committee and within proper guidelines.
Nominations for the Hall of Fame shall be submitted to the SIGA Advisory Committee for approval.
Nominee must be a member of an SIGA Member Club. Former SIGA members may qualify based on the Committee’s recommendation.
Nominee must have excelled in playing, (SIGA Championship’s, SIGA sanctioned tournaments, Illinois State Amateur record, national competition record) displayed superior administrative skills or displayed a long-term interest for the betterment of the SIGA.
SIGA Advisory Committee will review nominee submissions and election to the SIGA Hall of Fame will be approved by a simple majority of the SIGA Advisory Committee.
Election to the SIGA Hall of Fame may be annual with a maximum of two (2) members elected. Nominations must be received by the time set by the SIGA Advisory Committee.
Nominees must be re-nominated if not elected on first ballot. No holdover nominations.
Inductions into the SIGA Hall of Fame shall be held during at a time set forth by the SIGA Advisory Committee.
The SIGA Advisory Committee shall have the authority to change the maximum number of nominees elected.
